Where Italian design meets South African furniture! Eurocasa and Wunders worked together on this beautiful home in Hout Bay. Learn more about the project here.
We have recently seen the completion of another group project this year. This time, we had two of our companies work together to create a sophisticated Hout Bay home. Eurocasa installed a one-of-a-kind Italian kitchen while Wunders adorned the kitchen, dining room and lounge with plush furniture that compliments the overall design.
Eurocasa was approached by Lauren Bolus from Make Architects with a brief to create a kitchen that would act as a statement piece for the home. While showing her all of our kitchens, she immediately fell in love with the minimalism of the HT50. This composition allows for a variety of configurations including linking the island blocks with large snack tables, which allowed us to take the design a step further.
The final kitchen design includes a monolithic marble frame that outlines the main island. The Arabescato Carrara marble creates a sculptural addition to the kitchen which we allowed to be the hero of the space. We achieved this cleverly by choosing a simple white matt lacquer on the rest of the units. To further hero the marble centrepiece, we included LED lighting to the base of the centre island to illuminate the entire unit. We mirrored the LED lighting below all of the wall units and onto the back run. This aids in creating a warm and inviting ambience to the space.
The snack table allows for quick meals or meetings while working from home. This space came together beautifully through the addition of our Rumba Barstools from Wunders. The furnishings from Wunders continued into the dining room with beautiful Split Dining Chairs that surround a naturally raw timber dining table. In the living room, we included the Mckinlay Sofa adjacent to two Penny Low Arm Chairs which are perfect for intimate gatherings and after dinner conversations!
Seeing two of our companies work together on the same project to create a beautiful home makes us incredibly proud. We are excited to see our basket of offerings come together to produce a beautiful home through striking statement pieces, cosy conversational spaces and luxury Italian joinery.
