A Hout Bay Home with an Italian Kitchen and Locally Crafted Furniture

Where Italian design meets South African furniture! Eurocasa and Wunders worked together on this beautiful home in Hout Bay.

Set in the heart of Kerzner Estate, our latest project takes advantage of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean vistas. Located on the slopes of the Klein-Leeukop Mountain in Hout Bay, this project was unique in many ways. We had two of our companies work together to create a sophisticated Hout Bay home. Eurocasa installed a custom Italian kitchen while Wunders embellished the kitchen, dining room and lounge with plush furniture that compliments the overall design.

Eurocasa was approached by Lauren Bolus from Make Architects with a brief to create a kitchen that would act as a statement piece and talking point in the home. As we know, kitchens sell houses and that is no exception with this one. The primary objective of this project was to create a kitchen that would make potential buyers fall in love with the home over the other houses available on the estate. While showing her all of our Eurocasa kitchens, she was immediately drawn to the minimalism of the HT50. This composition allows for a variety of configurations including linking the island blocks with a large snack table, which allowed us to take the design a step further.
